I am sure the majority of the people have a pet in your family. If you do, you are also aware of how much it costs to take your pet in for its annual exam and vaccinations. And if your pet suffers an emergency, its treatment could run into the thousands.
Can you imagine the choices you have to make if are on a limited income?
Valley Animal Partners (VAP), founded in 2007, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose members are local business owners and pet owners.
Our mission is to raise funds to help the Snoqualmie Valley’s limited income seniors, disabled, veterans and families: spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip and provide emergency treatment for their pets.
As of today, we have assisted over 1000 residents and their 1025 pets in the Upper and Lower Snoqualmie Valley. Our annual budget is $15,000. Every dollar we raise is used to:
· Bring the Pasado’s Mobile Spay Station to the Snoqualmie Valley seven times a year. Each mobile visit can spay/neuter up to 27 animals.
· Provide vouchers to spay/neuter of their cats and dogs whose owners unable to use the mobile service.
· Host Free Vaccine Clinics to provide vaccines and $5 microchips. Dirty Doggone provides the space and local vets and vet techs donate their time to administer the vaccines and microchips.
· Provide emergency funds to pay for minor treatment, medication or euthanasia as the result of an emergency. The fund is available to seniors, disabled and veterans with limited incomes.
100% of every dollar we raise thru fundraising, donations and grant requests is used to pay for the services we fund.
We have two major fundraising events a year:
· Chili Showdown and Live Auction of Homemade goods on the first Saturday in November. Chili cookers throughout the valley are invited to participate and compete to be named the best chili of the Snoqualmie Valley. Donations of homemade items are auctioned off during a live auction. Scheduled for November 7, 2020 at the Eagles in Snoqualmie..
· DoggieStock Music Benefit sponsored by Carriage Insurance hosts an annual ‘Day of Tails & Music’. Scheduled for Sept. 12, 2020 at the Old Cascade Golf Course.
· In addition, we have also received grants from the Snoqualmie Tribe that allowed us to start the Vaccine Clinics and Emergency Fund.
How would we use your generous donation?
Your donation would allow us to fund our current services and expand our Emergency Fund to cover Family’s on assistance and limited incomes and minor surgery.
